TOWN OF SENECA FALLS
JOHNSON STREET CULVERT PROJECT

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the installation of a new stormwater culvert near Johnson Street and Prospect Street are requested from qualified contractors.  Project work includes the following items:

  1. Supply and installation of 75 linear feet (LF) of 36” diameter steel casing piping installed underneath the Finger Lake Railroad tracks at the location shown on the project drawings.
  2. Supply and installation of a 24” smooth interior corrugated polyethylene pipe inside the steel casing pipe.
  3. Supply and installation of two concrete catch basins, an outlet structure with rip rap apron, land grading, and soil stabilization after completion.    
  4. Contractor to supply all materials and labor for the project.  
  5. Contractor to provide field survey as needed to establish required installation locations, grades as shown on drawings. 
  6. Work must be completed at New York State Prevailing Wage Rates as published by the New York State Department of Labor.     

        Please send one paper copy of your sealed bid labeled “Johnson Street Culvert Project” to the Town of Seneca Falls Clerk at the Town office at: 130 Ovid Street, Seneca Falls, NY 13418.  Lump sum bids must be received by the Town Clerk before 2 PM on Friday June 14, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

        The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder.  It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.  The Town does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.

        No sales tax is to be charged for materials or labor for the project.  The winning bidder will be supplied with a tax exempt certificate for the project.
