Park Locations
People’s Park
Located on Water Street along the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, People’s Park is primary greenspace in downtown Seneca Falls. Home to the Village Bandstand built in 1924 and a clear view of the It’s a Wonderful Life Bridge, People’s Park is open from dawn to dusk each day for residents and visitors to enjoy the waterside environment while staying close to the amenities of downtown. Picnic tables, benches, and docks are available for use.
Academy Square
Located between the paralleling roads of Cayuga and State Streets, Academy Square provides a historic greenspace for the community. Home of the Daughters of the American Revolution Fountain and Veteran’s Memorial, Academy Square provides greenspace in the center of town. The park is split down the middle by an active railroad line. Picnic tables and benches are
available for use.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton Park
The smallest park in town, Elizabeth Cady Stanton Park perhaps provides the best views of them all. Located on Water Street where it meets Fall and State Streets, the park is home to a lush variety of flowers and other wonderful plants. The park overlooks People’s Park, as well as the Cayuga-Seneca Canal and National Women’s Hall of Fame at the former Seneca Knitting Mill. Benches are available for use.
Suffrage Park
Located on lower Fall Street, Suffrage Park provides a true scenic overlook of the waterscape in Seneca Falls. Unhindered views of VanCleef Lake and the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, beautiful flowers, and a gazebo make the park a hidden gem among our others. An excellent fishing spot, the park is also the perfect location for small weddings. Picnic tables and benches are available for use.
