2024 Budget

Each year, the Finance Office assists the town supervisor in preparing a preliminary budget for the coming year. At the October legislative meeting, the tentative budget is presented to the town board and the community. After it is presented to the town board, the tentative budget is reviewed by the town board through a series of budget workshops, and then modified to become the preliminary budget. It is then made available for public review and comment at a public hearing held in early November. After the public hearing, the town board reviews all comments and develops the final budget for adoption. The adopted budget for the Town of Seneca Falls is then submitted to Seneca County.

The 2024 Budget workshops will be held in person. The public may attend in person or participate in the process by registering to speak at an upcoming Budget Public Hearing. You can register to speak at any Public Hearing budget meeting between 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. up to two days prior to the meeting, by contacting the Town Clerk or by selecting ‘2024 Budget Speaker’ from the department dropdown menu using the Contact Us page.
