The business district of the Town of Seneca Falls is located approximately 6 miles to the east of the county seat, Waterloo, New York. The Town was organized on March 26, 1829. The Village of Seneca Falls was established on April 22, 1831 when it was incorporated. On March 16, 2010, the Town voted to dissolve the village by December 31, 2011, and thereafter, the Town of Seneca Falls became the main governing body.
